Medication Administration for Child Care Providers
This newly developed Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care approved workshop teaches child care providers to:
• safely administer medications
• properly store medications
• accurately complete record keeping
Core credits: 4 HSN + 2 PRO Participants must pass a five question math and five question reading test which will be administered at the start of the class. A certificate of completion will be awarded after passing a 20 question final exam and a simulated practice session.
CPR and First Aid
Health Link offers CPR and First Aid classes for all groups, from babysitters to coaches to an entire camp staff. Typically trainings are scheduled on an as needed basis, and we are happy to come to your location if you have a group of 6 or more. The certification will last for up to two years. CPR and First Aid Home Parties are the perfect way to prepare your family and friends to save a life. Trainings can be customized to meet your parties needs and are a fun way to make a difference.
Certified Medication Technician 20 Hour Course
The CMT course certifies the participant to administer medication under a delegating nurse for up to two years. Participants are expected to pass a basic reading and math assessment test during the first class period. Additionally, participants must identify the delegation of the nurse who will provide supervision after their completion of the CMT certification course. Classes are held in locations across Maryland. Customized classes may be arranged at your site for a minimum of 6 participants.
Certified Medication Technician 4 Hour Renewal Course
Renewal for CMTs is required every two years. If the certification expires, the participant will have to complete the 20 hour course again. The 4 hour renewal course is held upon request throughout Maryland.
